How Low Can You Go?

Located 500 metres offshore at Per Aquum's Niyama resort in the Maldives; the world’s first underwater music club has been unveiled. Subsix takes guests six metres below the Indian Ocean to a breath-taking underwater world, with floor to ceiling windows surrounding three sides of the structure and well placed seating spaced throughout, allowing unobstructed views of clown fish, manta rays, parrot fish and other exotic marine life. Resident DJs and a roster of visiting international acts will thrill guests with state-of-the-art sound systems and a cutting edge cocktail list. Access to Subsix is via a staircase from Edge, an over water restaurant appearing to float on the surface of the ocean. The Edge is helmed by Chef de Cuisine Arron Rhodes, who utilizes the ocean’s fare with signature dishes that include slowly cooked Indian Ocean Cuttlefish with avocado, piccalilli, apple and ink krupuk, as well as thinly sliced Maldivian reef fish gravalax, accompanied with tamarind cream, bulgur wheat, curry bubbles and mung sprouts.
