Suite Treats at The Langham

The Langham Hong Kong has unveiled its all-new signature suites, revealing the results of the first phase of the hotel’s extensive US$30 million facelift, which began in September 2014.

The two stylish new additions, the Penthouse Suite and the Director suite, showcase unfettered luxury and unique design elements. “Both suites have personalities of their own, reflecting elements in which the hotel is located,” said the hotel’s managing director, Bob van den Oord. The signature suites were created by award-winning firm G.A. Design.

The 152sqm Penthouse Suite pays tribute to Europe’s top fashion houses with a colour palette of cream, silver, and red, and boasts an opulent living room with a decorative fireplace, and a dining room for six. Luxe touches include handcrafted furniture finished with silk upholstery, one-of-a-kind artwork, diamond-cut mirror panelling, and crystal chandeliers. The suite also boasts two bathrooms decked out in Italian marble and stocked with high-end toiletries.

Hong Kong’s Avenue of Stars, a major attraction on the Kowloon waterfront promenade, is the inspiration for the 89sqm Director Suite. Rendered in black, grey, and sepia, this one-bedroom suite incorporates Asian touches while maintaining a distinctly modern aesthetic with jewel accents, and finishings that include high-gloss, nickel, Lucite, and glace. Guests in the Director Suite can watch movies on a 46-inch smart TV, read vintage books from the extensive library, and host six guests in the intimate dining room.

Both suites also come with a fully-stocked bar tray, iHome docking station, Wedgewood china and crystal, and a welcome amenity of fresh flowers and chilled Champagne. Guests in the two suites will also have access to the hotel’s exclusive amenities, including the Langham Club lounge, a personal Guest Experience Manager, and a dedicated Shopping Butler.
