Established in 2015, Tomacado’s journey began with a unique blend of food and floral inspiration. The restaurant’s name, itself a portmanteau of “tomato” and “avocado”, signifies the potent health attributes these ingredients bring when combined. The unsaturated acids in avocados amplify the cancer-fighting potential of tomatoes by up to four times, marking a harmonious synergy where the whole exceeds the sum of its parts.
Operating in the midst of a bustling city, the restaurant aims to offer an experience characterised by “beauty and love in the present”. Striving for balance between the swift and the gradual, it aims to promote moments of relaxation and introspection that allow patrons to momentarily escape their fast-paced lifestyles.

In line with its distinct design approach for each branch, the Hong Kong flagship draws inspiration from the bauhinia flower and the magnolia. An exceptional paper art installation by Mr. Anan, a master in the field, highlights these floral arrangements. This seamlessly blends with the detailed flower and plant motifs on the walls, crafting an aesthetically pleasing space that quietly blossoms. Tomacado further collaborates with Ms. Ru Ru Ping, founder of Seeds Creation, to craft indoor art installations by transforming the leaves and roots of vegetables into exquisite floral arrangements, echoing the concept’s philosophy of culinary and floral immersion.
Beyond its exquisite cuisine, Tomacado offers flower retail services. The flower shop is located at the entrance, ensuring that every guest passes through a beautiful flower market before entering the restaurant. Furthermore, guests can also purchase products from Tomacado’s new tea brand, Teablooms. This brand offers a selection of fine teas from around the world infused with flowers, fruits, herbs, and wood, providing a soothing experience for the soul.
