Throughout August and September, Jimbaran Puri, A Belmond Hotel, Bali will present a unique culinary event specially curated by executive chef Adi Wijaya.
With a commitment to celebrating Indonesia’s vibrant heritage, Jimbaran Puri invites guests to experience these unique culinary events, which blend tradition with modern techniques.

On the 19 September, Jimbaran Puri will host the three-course Seraya Kanti Dinner, which translates to ‘The Sound of Friendship,’ symbolising an evening filled with the joyful sounds of cooking and companionship. Hosted by chef Adi together with his former kitchen partner, Ibu Nyoman Griya, a respected culinary figure in the local communities, guests will be taken to an exploration of taste.
Begin the evening with Urab Bulung Jimbaran, a refreshing starter of tossed seaweed and sea grapes with galangal and chilli paste, grated coconut, crispy garlic, and abon ikan. The main course, Tipat Blayag, includes rice cake boiled in a woven coconut leaf pouch, braised prime beef topside in suna cekuh spice; chicken satay marinated with sambal plecin;, and boiled quail egg served with bean sprout, crispy shallot, and kalasan sauce.
The dessert platter features Sumping Waluh, steamed glutinous rice flour and pumpkin in banana leaf; Pisang Rai, poached banana battered in rice flour with palm sugar sauce; and Es Krim Terong Belanda, tamarillo ice cream.
Guests can let the evening unfold with the enchanting serenade of waves and the rich, aromatic symphony of herbs and spices. As the night deepens, every dish becomes a note in a culinary melody, creating an unforgettable chorus of flavours and friendship.

The dinner follows in the wake of another successful culinary presentation in August, the Merdeka Pairing Dinner, which was held in honour of Indonesia’s 79th year of independence.
