Bulgari Hotel Roma is the ninth property from the luxury lifestyle brand and the second in Italy.

Located at an exclusive address along the Piazza Augusto Imperatore, the 114-room Bulgari Hotel Roma has opened near the Italian capital’s most exclusive shopping street, Via del Corso, and the two Bulgari stores on Via Condotti should you feel inspired to shop for some jewels during your stay.

The hotel has been designed by Milan-based architectural studio ACPV Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, who wis responsible for the signature style of all Bulgari hotels and resorts globally. Decorated in four different colour palettes – white, yellow, red and green – rooms look out on Piazza Augusto Imperatore or Via della Frezza.

A classic example of 1930s rationalist architecture, the hotel building was formerly the headquarters of the INPS, the Italian Social Security Agency. Marble mosaic roundels, custom-made fabrics inspired by iconic Bulgari-designed motifs, handcrafted Murano glass and lights, 1930s Ginori vases and walls in blown Venetian crown glass are among the design features set to dazzle guests.

Overseen by Michelin-recognised chef Niko Romito, there are five different F&B options within the hotel, including Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, where dishes include linguine pasta with lobster and red prawns; and Marango beef filet with green peppercorn sauce. On the same floor, you’ll find the Bulgari Bar, where classic Negronis and light nibbles are served at a large black marble bar top finished with Murano glass twirls.

Amenities at the new Italian hideaway include the Bulgari Spa, which takes its cues from traditional Roman baths, with marble columns that rise from the swimming pool and mosaics featuring motifs inspired by Rome’s celebrated Baths of Caracalla; as well as a 24/7 fitness centre and a hair salon by celebrity hairdresser Roberto D’Antonio.
