A member of Design Hotels, the Granger Hotel lets guests slip back in time with its combination of original architectural details dating back to 1904, juxtaposed with custom contemporary artworks and a curated selection of vintage and bespoke furniture.

Located in the downtown Gaslamp Quarter and housed in a grand Romanesque building with arched windows and a carved stone entrance that was commissioned by Ralph Granger, a prominent banker and influential figure in San Diego, the Granger Hotel is the city’s first guest-only hotel, and features 96 guest rooms, including four corner suites.

The sultry design, which references eras from the 1920s to the 70s, extends throughout the 96 guestrooms, including four corner suites and a clutch of loft-style studios.

Each features handcrafted built-ins and custom rattan armoires, vintage books and unique artworks contrasted by original tin ceilings and windows. Start your morning off with great coffee at The Parlour Room, which evolves through the day to serve classic evening libations from its Cristallo-glass bar, backdropped by a stunning historical nude painting by artist M. Negus.
