Pier One Sydney Harbour has welcomed back the Glass Room Suites – two unique rooms in collaboration with Pottery Boy, Guy Vadas.
The perfect place for a winter sleepout under the stars, or to get together with friends and try your hand at some pottery while indulging in a winter warmer menu – the experience is bookable until Sunday 29 September, 2024.
The Glass Rooms are a pop up on Pier One‘s luxury Balcony Suites, set against sweeping views of Sydney Harbour. An extension of the luxurious suites into a neutral, warm interior designed in collaboration with Guy Vadas and featuring his bespoke ceramic designs – guests of the Glass Rooms can bask in a picture-perfect setting, fun cocktails and delicious share plates. This year, guests will also be able to book packages that will allow them to try their hands at pottery, and can even experience private guided ceramic classes from Pottery Boy himself.

This year, Pier One Sydney Harbour is offering guests two different experiences as part of the Glass Rooms – The Luxe Lounge Suite and The Soiree Suite.
The Luxe Lounge Suite features a double bed within the Glass House, offering the ultimate sleepout beneath the stars, right on the water at Sydney Harbour. With a number of scatter stools within the Glass Room itself, The Luxe Lounge Suite can host up to 12 people for group bookings with seating for eight guests. The suite is available to then sleep out two guests.
The Soiree Suite is the ultimate way to celebrate with friends, boasting a space that seats eight and accommodates up to 12 guests. With the same green and neutral toned styling, the Soiree Suite offers guests an opportunity to come together and experience a unique activity to enjoy in the colder winter months through a number of interactive package add-ons. These are perfect way to celebrate social get-togethers, birthday parties, hens parties and more.
Groups of 8 or more can book in for a DIY Ceramic Experience in the Glass Room, where they will flex their creativity in building their own ceramic pieces with provided clay and tools, guided by Guy through an instruction sheet and short tutorial video.
The ultimate experience for parties or special celebrations, groups of up to 10 people can book in for the VIP Clay package – where Guy Vadas himself will host an interactive 90-minute private class to guide the group through their pottery-making.
Guests can also indulge in an array of delicious share plates and cocktails throughout the experience including Marinated Roast Vegetables and Feta with Olives Charcuteries and Pickles, Young Pumpkin and Cheese Arancini as well as a number of quintessential Aussie snacks including Jatz crackers, Shapes, Tim Tims and Finger Lamingtons
