Highlights of the route include Senjojiki, a captivating rocky beach, formed by a powerful earthquake in 1792 and regularly listed as one of the 100 Best Sunsets in Japan; Fukaura, the renowned ‘Town of Sunset’ and a coastal jewel where the gently curving coastline and the vast expanse of the ocean extend as far as the eye can see; and the coastal beauty between Omagoshi to Iwadate stations.

Resort Shirakami, renowned for its exceptional train journeys, invites passengers to embark on a remarkable experience abroad with the Buna train sets. The Buna train, introduced in 2016, is part of the HB-E300 series, representing the second generation of updated hybrid trains.
