Family Fun in Bali

Perfect for families, The Mulia’s Mulia Resort & Villas in Bali has launched The Royal Villas, an ideal haven for families.
Blending understated elegance with plenty of family-friendly space, the new 513 sqm Mulia Villas each comfortably accommodate two adults and two young children, with the master bedroom flowing effortlessly into a dedicated children’s sanctuary.
The villas’ open-plan layout fosters an atmosphere of calm and connection, and features a private hydrotherapy pool, a sun-dappled pavilion and daybed patio, and expansive indoor–outdoor showers complete with a luxurious jacuzzi tub and double vanity in bathrooms. Every element—from bespoke furnishings to the silken touch of 400-thread-count linens—has been thoughtfully curated to evoke a sense of serenity and belonging, while 24-hour personalised butler service and gourmet in-villa dining make each space a home-away-from-home.
Additional perks for villa guests include access to The Lounge and The Living Room, where daily breakfast, afternoon tea, and cocktails and canapés are served, as well as priority reservations across Mulia’s dining venues, its spa, and its coveted private pool cabanas.
Families will also have access to the Mulia Kidz Club (ages 3–8), the Mulia Kidz Explorer Club (ages 8–12), and the T-Zone for Teens, as well as beachfront play zones, splash pools, and seasonal bouncing castles.
Artist Liu Bolin Heads to The Ritz-Carlton Maldives Fari Islands

Acclaimed Chinese performance artist and photographer Liu Bolin, known as The Invisible Man, will conduct an exclusive residence at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives Fari Island, in conjunction with champagne house Ruinart, from November 27–30.
During the residency, guests will witness a series of exclusive performances, exhibited artworks, curated Ruinart Champagne tastings, and immersive dining experiences, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Maldivian archipelago.
Liu Bolin addresses issues of environment and cultural identity, and is celebrated for his thought-provoking camouflage installations, a comment on man’s relationship to his surroundings. His performances in the Maldives, a continuation of Bolin’s creative partnership with Maison Ruinart, will highlight both The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Island’s and Ruinart’s long-standing dialogue between nature, culture, and craftsmanship.
Where the Forest Meets the Sea

The new JW Marriott Cam Ranh Bay Resort & Spa blends beachside elegance with Vietnamese charm.
A bold expression of Asian-inspired architecture created by design agencies AND, Super Potato and PIA, the new JW Marriott is nestled on a 22-hectare estate that’s home to over 1,000 endemic species of flowers, trees and shrubs and punctuated by winding pathways and swaying palms.
With architecture influenced by the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water, the resort’s 203 elegantly designed guest rooms and one to four-bedroom private villas (10 of which have direct access to Bai Dai Beach) feature organic tones, natural materials and refined wooden accents, including lattice partitions that echo traditional Vietnamese design. Each villa also features a private infinity pool and spacious outdoor terrace.
Guests will also be able to embark on a culinary journey that ranges from the Vietnamese and international dishes at all-day dining venue Clay Craft to fresh seafood at the Seafood Grill and beachfront bliss at the Bayside Bistro and Ocean Bar.
Guests will also be able to learn about the region’s pottery legacy at The Pottery Club, a dedicated studio and creative hub dedicated to preserving and reinterpreting the spirit of Champa pottery, unwind at a selection of serene swimming pools, including two expansive main pools, or find mindfulness at The Spa by JW, with its vitality pool 24-7 fitness centre and eight treatment suites.
Kids will also love the new resort’s dedicated pool and Lazy River, and its two vibrant children’s clubs.

Guests can arrive in style directly to the hotel’s rooftop helipad, check into their luxurious room (we love the light-filled Junior Sea View suites with their lavish bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows), indulge in cutting-edge treatments at The Spa, which spans two floors, and enjoy some of the city’s best new dining experiences at a raft of new restaurants that includes Yu & Me, a modern Chinese restaurant channelling the spirit of 1960s Hong Kong, and NOIA, a chic rooftop Greek eatery with panoramic views and a poolside terrace.
Zayed National Museum Opens in December

Culture creatures headed for Abu Dhabi might want to check out the highly anticipated Zayed National Museum, the national museum of the United Arab Emirates, which opens on 3 December at the heart of the Saadiyat Cultural District.
Honouring the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his commitment to cultural heritage, education, identity and belonging, the new museum will present the history of the land through an immersive journey that spans from ancient times to the present day, blending archaeological artefacts and historic objects with audiovisual and sensory experiences, as well as contemporary installations.
Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners, the museum stretches 600 metres along the Saadiyat coastline and will boast more than 3,000 items, of which 1,500 will be on display. Zayed National Museum will stand alongside several globally renowned cultural institutions, including Louvre Abu Dhabi and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, as well as the upcoming Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.
InterContinental Halong Bay Resort Opens in Northeast Vietnam

The first international luxury resort in UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay, the InterContinental Halong Bay Resort, designed by WATG, features 275 guestrooms, suites, private villas and residences. Each guest room is dressed in the striking colours of the land and sea by agency P49Design, which was inspired by Vietnam’s traditional bamboo basket boats.
Guests will also have access to a host of intriguing restaurants, ranging from signature eatery Roku, which serves Japanese cuisine showcasing six classic techniques and features a curated sake library, to Yulong Mansion, a two-storey venue opening in 2026, that will present modern Cantonese cuisine through a lens of culinary artistry.
Be sure to leave time for a spot of pampering at the Hidden Lagoon, the resort’s spa, which delivers luxurious treatments in collaboration with luxury British beauty brand Margaret Dabbs London and Australian clean beauty brand Sodashi. There’s also plenty to keep families busy, from beach volleyball, outdoor archery and three swimming pools to dedicated kids clubs for children aged 4 to teenagers.
Bali’s Santanera Celebrates Community

Acclaimed Canggu restaurant Santanera, which is already deeply rooted in community engagement and sustainable sourcing, celebrates its fourth anniversary this month with The Wild Harvest, a celebration of abundance, resilience, and the community that makes it all possible.
For The Wild Harvest, Bogotá-born founding chef Andrés Becerra will be joined by guest chefs Aditya Muskita (Esa, Jakarta), John Becker (Jono’s), and Selvina Lim (Lenny’s) for a one-night-only dinner with a collaborative menu that traces the roots of Latin America while embracing the richness of Indonesia.
Guests can expect an eclectic menu ranging from roti made from “odading” dough, topped with suero costeño, fermented gooseberries, and cured duck sausage; and ceviche dressed in rujak kuah pindang for a balance of smoky depth, zest, and tropical brightness; to a tropical crescendo of guava, tangy fruit, and delicate textures that capture Bali’s vivid, unrestrained spirit.
A Tropical Khmer Escape

Jati brings refined barefoot luxury to Cambodia’s Koh Rong archipelago.
If you’ve been hankering for a tropical escape that’s close to home, you might want to make for Jati, an exclusive private island that has opened off the southern coast of Cambodia.
The creation of Shinta Mani Hotels (of Shinta Mani Wild fame), Jati Koh Rong offers blissful Khmer-inspired luxury across its 82 villas, perched on the island of Koh Russey, also known as the archipelago’s Bamboo Island.
The one and two-bedroom villas at Jati (the name is Sanskrit for “rebirth”) are located directly on the beachfront or nestled in lush tropical gardens, with some featuring private pools.
Beyond, guests can drop the little ones off at the Seahorse Kids Club, work up an appetite at the Bamboo Spa & Gym (you’ll love the sauna and ice bath facilities) and on the tennis and pickleball courts, before sating at resort outposts of Phnom Penh wine bar Le Manolis and steakhouse Koko (although leave room for the evening BBQs at the lively Beach Club).
